DeConstruction
Footwear Design
Experimental projekt
2020 / IFM Paris
The DeConstruction project, created during Georgiana-Andreeai's time at the Institut Français de la Mode in Paris, marks a bold and creative exploration of new expressions in the art of footwear design. Drawing inspiration from second-hand vintage shoes, Georgiana embarked on a transformative journey, giving new life to discarded pieces from the past.

The concept behind DeConstruction was both simple and profound: four vintage shoes were sourced, each with its own history and character. These shoes were then carefully deconstructed, with each part separated and reimagined. The result was a collection of entirely new and innovative shoe models, where unexpected proportions, unique combinations and striking silhouettes merged into hybrids of design.

By repurposing existing materials, DeConstruction fuses tradition and modernity, challenging conventional footwear design norms. This project pushes the boundaries of creative possibility, exploring new avenues for sustainable fashion. Each shoe tells a story of reinvention, transforming discarded objects into bold statements of artistic expression.
